Pediatric Auditory-Perceptual Evaluation of Voice PAPE-V

The PAPE-V was developed and tested using voices from children and adolescents with and without voice disorders (Citation pending). This site can be used to make auditory-perceptual voice ratings that can be copied directly into your electronic medical record. We will continue to update this site as new evidence and recommendations emerge. Instructions and stimuli are below.

The form also asks if the patient presented with hypernasality, hyponasality, poor respiratory support, noisy breathing, speech sound errors, or frequent glottal fry. This allows you to make quick notes on areas not formally rated in the PAPE-V protocol. Factors listed here were selected because they have been shown to influence auditory-perceptual ratings in children.
